One of the main problems about punctures in medicine is that only 93 percent of them are performed without complications. It is reasoned by human factor (personnel qualification, tiredness, haste of the procedure, etc.). This project is intended to analyze the possibilities of automated device (navigator) creation with application of modern ultrasound technology. The kind of device would be unique and would help to avoid human mistakes and reduce the percentage of complications for above mentioned procedures. Whereas “Medelkom” Ltd. has accumulated large experience in creation and production of ultrasound medical devices, the company decided to analyze the possibilities of creation of such ultrasound device and prepare technical study of possibilities. The project also would stimulate the company’s activity in RSTD field and give possibility to appropriately prepare for possible actions on the creation of prototype of the device being discussed.
Project status: Project activities are finished. The theoretical, medical, technical, economic and juridical analyses, patent search and marked research were performed during implementation of the project. As a result, the technical study of possibilities was prepared as planned.
